New NPK Fertilizer plant at Thal
India is largely dependent upon Imported NPK nutrients to meet its domestic requirements. Currently there is a shortage of NPK/DAP in India. As an “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, RCF is exploring possibility of setting up a new 1200 MTPD (DAP Basis) Complex Fertilizer Plant at Thal unit. The plant would be capable of producing various grades of NPK fertilizer as per market requirements. The new NPK Plant is a step towards ensuring a reliable, energy efficient, environmental friendly and cost effective domestic production of NPK fertilizer to fulfil nutrient requirement of food crops. Environment Clearance is received from Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on 2nd January 2024 for the project. Selection of LSTK Contractor through tendering is in progress. Estimated Project Capital Cost is about Rs. 915 Crore including taxes, duties and working capital. Project is expected to be completed in 27 months from zero date.
