Vigilance Awareness Week - 2025

Awareness Gram Sabha in Mukhed village Nashik, Maharashtra on 14.10.2025

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Vigilance awareness activity on dissemination of information regarding the menace of corruption and different measures that the public can undertake to redress it was conducted on 14th October 2025 during the Gram Sabha of Mukhed village in Nashik district, as an outreach activity under the observance of VAW-2025. A deliberation was done on the menace of corruption, its ill effects on developmental projects and on society as a whole, with active participation from the villagers. Various vigilance complaint handling mechanisms available to the public in India, such as the State’s Anti-Corruption Bureaus, CVC, CBI and PIDPIR/Lokpal etc. was elaborated. General issues faced by villagers regarding corruption were discussed during the Gram Sabha. Villagers, especially senior citizens, were astonished by hearing the names of bodies such as the CVC and thanked RCF Ltd for conducting awareness-building activity in their village.

The special Gram Sabha was presided over by the village Sarpanch Shri Amol Jadhav, who spoke on the necessity of transparency and explained about various developmental programs being carried out in the village. An Integrity Pledge was also administered to the participants. Queries raised by the participants have been effectively addressed in the Gram Sabha. About 180 villagers participated in the Gram Sabha, including Panchayat members, senior citizens, Gram Vikas Adhikari and Talathi, representatives of the village Self Help Group and officers of RCF Ltd Vigilance department and Marketing Offices at Dhule/ Jalgaon/ Nandurbar/ Nashik districts.

Essay and Poster competitions on the VAW theme and topics such as ‘Corruption-free India, Prosperous India’ were conducted at RCF High School, Mukhed, prior to the Gram Sabha. The winners of these competitions were felicitated with cash prizes and certificates.
